What No One Tells You About Gender and Diets

Have you ever noticed that a large majority of diet books are written by men?  No offense these books truly are GREAT!

All of these books promise weight loss, and increased energy.  Most books have a well thought out plan that works wonders on our bodies, but the diets are hard to follow.  They are even unreasonable for most.  These are all great books with amazing facts, but I find the guidelines hard to follow.  Every new health book that I read is a new discovery.   I’m still going to read many health books written by men!  These are just some thoughts.

It seems like  women are more likely to read these books.  pexels-photoThese are usually GREAT plans, but I’m not a man.  I can’t just stop dairy, wheat, or meat without going crazy.  Women’s hormones are extremely different after all we are the ones that carry babies.  If I were to try to tackle the differences between men, and women it wouldn’t just be a post.  The subject would require at least a book.  Women are MORE EMOTIONAL.  Studies have shown women are twice as likely to become depressed.  These diet plans all have good intentions, but the emotional mind of a woman is not considered.  Even the smartest man on earth cannot imagine how it feels to be a woman.  Just like women cannot imagine what it’s like to be a man.  The same can be said about people, who knows what would happen if you tried to eat what I eat every day.

Maybe I’m missing something here.  There are probably tons of diet books out there written by women I just haven’t read them.  A plan only works if you are able to follow it.  If you cannot follow it there isn’t a point!  In regards to nutrition some of us don’t know where to start, but some of us cannot stick to a plan.  The next time you try a healthier lifestyle think about what it was like the last time you tried.  Don’t forget how much your emotions can take over!

Finding the right nutrition plan for you could result in a diet plan that results in weight loss!

As long as you keep trying you will find the answer!  DON’T GIVE UP.

Do you have any tactics that have worked for you in the past?
